My First Wulai Gorge Marathon

For my first marathon of the year, I took part in the "2018 Wulai Gorge Marathon". Accompanied by the rain god, the cold, wet weather and continuous rolling hills truly tested the runners' physical strength and willpower. For this mountain marathon, I didn't dare push too hard since I have other races lined up this month, so a sub-5 finish was good enough. This race received AIMS course certification late last year, showing that the New Taipei City Government clearly intends to elevate it to an international-level event. The course boasts beautiful scenery, the medal design is of high quality, and at the finish line there was hot soup plus thermal foil blankets, along with an eco-friendly, cup-free approach throughout the entire race. It's just a pity that the distance markers along the course were a bit confusing and the aid stations were mediocre, so there is still room for improvement.
