Completing Back-to-Back Weekend Marathons on the Southern Cross-Island Highway

(August 12, 2017) Finished the first leg of my back-to-back weekend marathons. At the start, I bumped into Shang-Pei, a junior alumnus from NCKU. Despite the scorching heat, I finished comfortably the whole way through. Big thanks to my wife for providing course support at 10K and 36K. Along the way, we passed through the beginning climb of the Southern Cross-Island Highway, where the scenery was gorgeous—I figured I'd treat it as a practice run for part of the Southern Cross-Island Highway 100K course.
